Restorative Dentistry in Port Coquitlam
In restorative dentistry, we focus on repairing or replacing teeth that have been damaged, are decayed, or are missing. These restorations restore function and aesthetic appeal to the teeth and mouth, and ultimately support long-term oral health.
Dental Bonding
Dental bonding can be used to repair teeth that are damaged or require small cosmetic upgrades. Chips, cracks, gaps, and discolouration are often the reason dental bonding is used. Bonding is a simple procedure in which tooth-coloured resin is applied to the tooth, shaped, hardened with a special light, and polished into a natural look.

Dental Implants
When one or more teeth are missing and surrounding gums and bone are healthy, dental implants can be a valuable long-term replacement. Implants can be created for a single restoration with a crown or used to support a larger restoration, such as a bridge or denture.
All-on-4 Dental Implants
When a full arch replacement is required, All-on-4 provides a long-term restorative option. The name comes from the specific process used to replace the teeth, which relies on four dental implants to secure a fixed dental prosthesis in place.

Dental Bridges
Dental bridges are fixed restorations used to replace missing teeth. A bridge consists of one or more artificial teeth that are anchored in place, effectively “bridging the gap” left by missing teeth. A bridge can be used to restore the function and appearance of the teeth, as well as helping to maintain proper bite alignment and ensuring other teeth don’t shift out of place.
Dental Fillings
Filling cavities is an essential part of routine preventative dental care. Fillings seal up openings in the teeth from allowing bacteria inside the tooth, preventing infections. They can also support a more stable bite and repair minor damage, such as minor cracks and wear.

Inlays and Onlays
When a tooth is damaged too severely for a filling, but does not require a complete dental crown, our dental team may recommend an inlay or onlay. These are restorations created in a dental laboratory, designed to sit on top of a molar to protect and strengthen the tooth. Inlays and onlays are custom created, restoring the tooth so it blends in with the nearby natural teeth.
Dentures
Dentures offer tooth replacement for either full or partial tooth loss. Dentures can be made to fit the top arch of teeth, the bottom arch, or both. They may be held in place in several ways, including suctioning to the gums, being attached to nearby healthy teeth, or being attached to one or more dental implants.
